The USER command group provides information related to the current logged-in user.
These commands help users see who they are logged in as and retrieve profile/session details.
To view these commands inside the terminal:
help user
You will see:
USER commands:
whoami, me - Show basic information about your account.
lastlogin - Show your last login time (if available).
Below is a full explanation of each command.
1. whoami / me — Show Account Information #
Displays basic information about the currently logged-in WordPress user.
Typical output includes:
- Username (the actual WP username)
- Display name
- User ID
- Role
Examples:
whoami
or
me
This command is useful for confirming logged-in identity, especially inside communities, dashboards, or membership platforms.
2. lastlogin — Show Last Login Time #
Displays the date and time of the user’s most recent WordPress login.
Example:
lastlogin
If no last login information is stored yet, the terminal will show:
No last login data available.
This feature depends on WordPress storing the timestamp — if the theme or other plugins track it, the Social Terminal will display that value.
